No. 172, 1897.—Petition of Ema Tini Enoka and Another.

Petitioners pray that the fishing-places of their ancestors on the Waitara River may be restored to them.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the Government for consideration.

No. 172, 1897.—Pitihana a Ema Tini Enoka me tetahi atu.

E inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia whakahokia atu ki a ratou nga wahi mahinga ika, i Waitara, a o ratou tupuna.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawauatanga kia whiriwhiria.
