Native Land Validation Court: Decrees affecting Mangaheia No. 2 and Mangapoiki Blocks, now on the Table of the House.
I am directed to report that the Committee have considered the matter in connection with the petitions appealing against such decrees, together with a memorandum from the trustees appointed under the said decrees, and the Committee are of opinion that the said decrees should be confirmed, but direct that a clause be inserted in the Native Land Laws Amendment Bill protecting the rights of the appellants by way of authorising the Appeal Court to hear all applications for rehearing at present pending in respect of the said blocks, and any decision of the Appellate Court in regard to the same be given effect to.
