No. 163.—Petition of Ropata Ngatiwai and 2 Others.
Petitioners pray that they may be allowed to sell the kauri timber on their land (Wairahi) to the Kauri Timber Company.
I am directed to report that the Committee recommend that this petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration, and that the Natives be requested to submit to the Government the terms on which they propose to sell the kauri timber to the Kauri Timber Company.
