No. 428.—Petition of Aropeta Haeretuterangi and 187 Others.

Petitioners pray that Dr. J. B. Clark may be appointed to attend the Maoris at Karioi and neighbourhood of Upper Wanganui.

I have the honour to report that, as the Committee consider it advisable a medical man should be appointed to attend the Natives of the district referred to, they recommend that this petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration.

No. 428.—Pitihana a Aropeta Haeretuterangi me etahi atu kotahi rau e waru tekau ma whitu.

E Inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia whakaturia a Dr. J. B. Clark hei rongoa i nga Maori o Karioi me me nga kainga o runga o Whanganui.

E whai honore ana ahau ki te ripoata, i te mea e whakaaro ana te Komiti he mea tika kia whakaturia he takuta hei rongoa i nga Maori o te Takiwa kua huaina ake nei, na reira ki ta ratou whakaaro me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia whiriwhiria paitia.
