No. 241.—Petition of Raumati Pomakariri and 430 Others.

Petitioners pray that their shares in the Manawapou Block, near Patea, may be individualised, and that they may receive advances for the purpose of making the land produce sufficient to support them.

I have the honour to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the Government, for the purpose of having the matter inquired into by the Stipendiary Magistrate of the district in which the land is situated.

E Inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia wehewehea ki ia tangata o ratou hea i Manawapou Poraka, e tata ana ki Patea, a kia tukua atu he moni nama ki a ratou hei mahi i te whenua kia puta mai ai he oranga mo ratou.

E whai honore ana ahau ki te ripoata ki te whakaaro a te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga, kia uiuia ai tenei mea e te Kai-whakawa Tuturu o te Takiwa i takoto ai te whenua.
