Petitioners pray that they be paid for the 7,625 acres of land which they allege Government took in excess when purchasing the Pahiatua Block.

I have the honour to report that the Committee, considering the petitioners have good grounds for their claim, recommend that this petition be referred to the Government for inquiry.
