No. 288.—Petition of the Hinemoa Native Committee.

Petitioners pray that the law relating to the sale of intoxicating liquors may be amended, so that it will have the effect of promoting the habit of temperance in all Maori districts.

I have the honour to report that the Committee recommend that this petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration.

E whai honore ana ahau ki te ripoata ki te whakaaro a te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia whiriwhiria paitia.
