Petitioners pray that the rights of the Maoris on the Wanganui River be not interfered with.

I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion the Government should act on the recommendation of the Wanganui River Trust Board, and depute the Hon. Native Minister to visit the district with a view to settling the dispute.
