Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1895

[No. 228.—Petition of Hare Rakena te Aweawe and 52 Others.]

No. 228.—Petition of Hare Rakena te Aweawe and 52 Others.

Petitioners pray that in order to be in a position to pay off their debts they may be allowed to sell their spare lands to purchasers other than the Government.

I have the honour to report that as there is a Bill now before the House dealing with the subject the Committee has no recommendation to make.

27th August, 1895.
