Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1895

[No. 8.—Petition of Wiremu Kauika and Another.]

No. 8.—Petition of Wiremu Kauika and Another.

Petitioners pray that compensation may be granted for moneys said to have been embezzled by one William Williams in connection with the purchase of the Kaitangiwhenua Block.

I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion this petition should be referred to the Government, with the recommendation that their report of last Session, dated 9th October, 1894, on the same subject, be given effect to.

20th August, 1895.

[Translation.]
No. 8.—Pitihana a Wiremu Kauika me tetahi atu.

20 o Ahukata, 1895.
