[No. 399, 1894.—Petition of Irimina Tatua Hapuku and 9 Others.]

No. 399, 1894.—Petition of Irimina Tatua Hapuku and 9 Others.

Petitioners pray that the Whatuma Lake, near Waipukurau, may be returned to them.

I have the honour to report that, as the Committee find no mention in the deed of cession of the Hapuku Block that the lake in question was to be reserved, they have no recommendation to make.

7th August, 1895.

E whai honore ana ahau ki te repoata, i te mea kaore e kitea ana e to Komiti tetahi kupu i roto i te pukapuka hoko o te Poraka a te Hapuku hei whakaatu i te rahuitanga o taua roto, heoi kaore kau a ratou kupu mo tenei putake.
