Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1895

[No 34.—Petition of Paratene Matenga and 230 Others.]

No 34.—Petition of Paratene Matenga and 230 Others.

Petitioners pray that a medical practitioner may be appointed to attend solely to the Maoris of the Wairarapa.

I have the honour to report that the Committee recommends that the Government should favourably consider the prayer of this petition, and, if possible, subsidise a medical man without delay.

24th July, 1895.
