Final Report.

I Have the honour to report that the Native Affairs Committee held their final meeting this morning, it being the forty-third held during the session.

The total number of petitions received for consideration was 114, including 33 which were undealt with in 1894; 103 petitions were dealt with and reported on, the remaining 11 being unavoidably held over; they are as follows: No. 57, 1894, Paki Wi Hongi; No. 641, 1894, Marara Nukai; No. 229, 1895, Rewi te Niwa; No. 379, 1895, Kuini Wi Rangipupu; No. 448, 1895, Horomona Rongoparae; No. 462, 1895, Henare Tikitini and 11 others; No. 470, 1895, Raumati Pomakariri and 2 others; No. 485, 1895, Te Ahirau Waitai and 2 others; No. 486, 1895, Kapua Maihi and 5 others; No. 504, 1895, P. Barker; and No. 507, 1895, Hama Hamuera.

The following Bills relating to Native affairs were considered and reported on, viz.: The Native Townships Bill, the Native Land Laws Amendment Bill, the Westland and Nelson Native Reserves Act Amendment Bill, the Native Reserves Act Amendment Bill, the Native Land Claims Adjustment Bill, and the Horowhenua Block Bill.

The Committee also considered and reported on the following papers relating to decrees made by the Validation Court under "The Native Land (Validation of Titles) Act, 1893." viz.: G 28, 63, 104, 164, 187, 188, 240, and 244.
