No. 145.—Petition of Hue te Hori and 26 Others.

Petitioners pray that the following Acts may he repealed, as they press unduly on the Natives—viz.: The Land Acquisition Act, the Land Transfer Act, and the Rating Act, and others.

I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion that, as the petition refers to matters of policy, it should be referred to the Government for consideration.

No. 145.—Pitihana a Hue te Hori me etahi atu e rua tekau ma ono.

E ikoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia whakakorea atu nga Ture e mau ake nei, i te mea e taumaha ana aua Ture ki runga ki na Maori, ara: Te Ture Whakawhiwhi Whenua, te Ture Whakawhiti Whenua, te Ture Reiti, me etahi atu Ture.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei: Ki te whakaaro a te Komiti, i te mea e pa ana tenei pitihana ki nga tikanga whakahaere a te Kawanatanga, me tuku atu ki te Kawanatanga kia whiriwhiria tona tikanga.
