No. 311.—Petition of Manu, of Opotiki.

Petitioner prays for legislation to enable a rehearing to be made of a succession order to land situate in the Parish of Waioeka, Whakatane, to which she alleges she is entitled as next-of-kin to one Mereana Whaiti, deceased.

I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government for further inquiry, in order to ascertain the relationship of the petitioner to the deceased, Mereana Whaiti.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei: Kei te whakaaro te Komiti me tuku tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia uiuia ano tona tikanga kia ata mohiotia ai te tata o te whanaungatanga o te kaipitihana ki a Mereana Whaiti, kua mate.
