Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1894.

[No. 104.—Petition of Kipa te Whatanui (No. 1).]

No. 104.—Petition of Kipa te Whatanui (No. 1).

Petitioner prays that the recommendation of the Native Affairs Committee in 1892, on a petition presented by himself, may he given effect to.

I am directed to report that the Committee begs to repeat the recommendation made in 1892 by the Native Affairs Committee—namely, "That the Committee is of opinion the Government should be recommended to take the whole questions affecting the Horowhenua Block into their consideration, and, if possible, to institute such legislation as will finally settle all disputes in connection therewith."

[Translation. ]
No. 104.—Pitihana a Kipa te Whatanui (No. 1).

E inoi ana te kai-pitihana kia whakaritea te kupu i kiia e te Komiti mo tana pitihana i te tau 1892.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei: Kei te pera ano te kupu a te Komiti me tana i te tau 1892—ara, "E whakaaro ana tenei Komiti me tono te Kawanatanga ki ata whiriwhiria katoatia nga take ki taua poraka a ki te taea me hanga tetahi ture hei tino whakaoti i nga raruraru katoa mo runga i tana poraka."
