Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1893.

[No. 340.—Petition of John Topi Patuki and H. K. Taiaroa.]

No. 340.—Petition of John Topi Patuki and H. K. Taiaroa.

Petitioners allege that they have been put to considerable expense from time to time in advocating successfully the claims of the South Island Natives, and that they have never received any recompense. They now pray that some relief may be granted.

I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration.
