No. 87.—Petition of Te One Topi Patuki and 26 Others.

Petitioners pray that the Southland Meat and Export Company may be restrained from gaining possession of certain land set apart for the Natives at the Bluff.

I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion this petition should be referred to the Government, with the recommendation that free access to the site and building in question be secured for the Natives, as has hitherto been the case.
