Petitioners pray that a Bill, to be called "The Federated Maori Assembly Bill," may be introduced for the purpose of give the Maori people power to deal with their own affairs.

I have the honour to report that, as the prayer of this petition involves a radical change in the government of the colony, the Committee declines to make any recommendation in connection therewith.
