Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1893.

[No. 125.—Petition of Matiaha Kapu and 150 Others.]

No. 125.—Petition of Matiaha Kapu and 150 Others.

Petitioners pray that their land may be exempted from the provisions of the West Coast Settlements Reserves Act, and that they may be allowed to deal with it in the same manner as the Europeans are doing.

I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration.
