No. 340, 1892.—Petition of Wiremu Taipua.

Petitioner states that the Government wrongfully lay claim to the Motutere Block (Coromandel), and now prays for relief.

I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government, with the recommendation that effect be given to the Act specially passed in 1873 ("The Harata Patene Rehearing Act, 1873,") to deal with the case.
