No. 580, 1892.—Petition of Te Ngarupiki.

Petitioner alleges that a block of land called Aotea has been surveyed by a surveyor named "Rakapata" (Rochfort?), who is pressing the Natives for payment of his fees. He (petitioner) prays for relief.

I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government.

No. 580, 1892.—Pukapuka inoi a Te Ngarupiki me etahi atu.

E ki ana te kai-pitihana kua ruritia tetahi poraka whenua e tetahi kairuri ko tona ingoa ko Rakapata (Rochfort) a e akiaki ana ia i nga Maori kia utua te ruritanga a e inoi ana te kai-pitihana ki tetahi ora.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei: E whakaaro ana tenei Komiti me tuku tenei pitihana ki Kawanatanga kia uiuia nga tikanga.
