No. 569, 1891, Sess. II.—Petition of Matenga Moroati and 4 Others.

Petitioners allege that a piece of land, about 20 acres in extent, situated near the church at Moutoa, on the Manawatu River, has been wrongfully conveyed to the Bishop of Wellington, and they pray for inquiry.

I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry.

E ki ana nga kai-pitihana i tukuna hetia tetahi piihi whenua e rua tekau eka te rahi ki te Pihopa o Poneke. Ko taua whenua e takoto tata ana ki te Whare Karakia i Matene i te taha o te awa i Manawatu a e inoi ana ratou kia uiuia nga tikanga i tukuna ai taua whenua.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei: E whakaaro ana tenei Komiti me tuku tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia uiuia nga tikanga.
