No. 161, Sess. II., 1887.—Petition of Henare Tahau and 20 Others.
Petitioners state that a reserve called Okirae, containing 3,125 acres, which belonged to them, and which they leased to one Joe Abbott, has been sold without their knowledge and consent. They pray for an inquiry.
I am directed to report as follows: That as the request contained in the petition has been complied with the Committee has no recommendation to make.
