No. 269, Sess. II.—Petition of Emma Rolfe.

Petitioner states that certain lands in the Taratahi District awarded to her by the Native Land Court were made inalienable. She now prays that the restrictions may be removed so that she may deal with the land as she thinks proper.

I am directed to report as follows: That, so far as Mrs. Rolfe is concerned, the restrictions appear unnecessary and inequitable, and the Committee would recommend the Government to withdraw them.
