Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1885.

[No. 266.—Petition of Hemi Warena and Others.]

No. 266.—Petition of Hemi Warena and Others.

Petitioners state that when their land called Taonui Ahuaturanga (500 acres) was adjudicated upon by the Native Land Court, six persons, whose names they give, were placed in the certificate as trustees. These trustees have since sold the land and spent the money, leaving the petitioners landless. They pray for an inquiry.

Report and date same as No. 48.
