No. 221 of 1882.—Petition of Hehi Wharerau and 28 Others.
Petitioners complain that the Mongonui Council maladministers the business of the county, and they pray that the power of the Council may be abolished, and the affairs of the district managed by the Government.
I am directed to report as follows:—
That the petitioners have given no particulars of grievances. Their prayer could be given effect only by an alteration of the law. The Committee has no recommendation to make.
