Report on Petition of Hori Wirihana and 89 Others.

Petitioners allege that their land (reserves) at Tauranga was sold without their consent, which was specially withheld on account of hurial-places being there.

I am directed to report as follows:—

The Committee are of opinion that the manner in which these reserves have been acquired in some cases by Government officials should receive the attention of the Government.
