Miss Nan Anderson

It is with sincere regret that the Society records the death of Miss Nan Anderson in October 1985. Miss Anderson had been an enthusiastic member of the Society for a number of years and in June 1980 was elected to the Committee where she remained until the time of her death. At Committee meetings she always contributed well thought out suggestions to discussions on the affairs of the Society and her contributions were always appreciated. – J.F.H.S.

Mrs Barbara Newport

It came as a great shock to all members of the Society and to a wide circle of friends to learn of the sudden death of Mrs Barbara Newport in December 1985. Mrs Newport had given loyal support to the Society from its inception, and particularly during the period from 1972 till 1977 when her husband Mr J. N. W. Newport was President. During that period Mr and Mrs Newport graciously made their home available for meetings of ther Committee, and members will recall with affection the warm hospitality which Mrs Newport always extended to the Committee. Her untiring efforts to support Jeff on trips and at functions during his presidency will long be remembered. Our sincerest condolences are extended to Mr Newport and his family.
