The Letters of Katherine Mansfield: Volume II

October 1920

I send the story.1 As usual I am in a foolish panic about it. But I know I can trust you. You know how I choose my words; they can't be changed. And if you don't like it or think it is wrong just as it is I'd rather you didn't print it. I'll try to do another.

Will you tell me—if you've time—what you think of it? Again (as usual) I burn to know and you see there is No One here.

It was one of my queer hallucinations; I wrote it straight off. And I've no copy.

I hope you like my little boy. His name is Hennie.

1 See The Young Girl.
