Order In Council.

At the Government House, at Auckland, this seventh day of January, 1870.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor Council.

In exercise of the powers vested in the Governor by "The Native Reserves Act, 1856," and "The Native Reserves Amendment Act, 1862," the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony, doth order that the land hereinafter described—that is to say: All that parcel of land containing by measurement one (1) acre three (3) roods and sixteen (16) perches, be the same more or less, situated in the City of Nelson, being sections two hundred and sixty-nine (269) on the plan of the said city; bounded on the north by land granted to Joseph McArtney, and by land granted to Francis Dillon Bell, five hundred (500) links, and by the said land granted to Francis Dillon Bell, one hundred links (100) links; towards the north-east by the said land granted to Francis Dillon Bell, five hundred and thirty-eight (538) links; towards the south by Weka-street, eight hundred (800) links; and towards the west by section two hundred and sixty-three (263) on the said plan, two hundred (200) links, and by the aforesaid land granted to Francis Dillon Bell, three page 400hundred (300) links: Excepting the north road, seventy-five (75) links in width, which intersects the said section two hundred, and sixty-six (266); part of a Native Reserve, being land subject to the operation of the said Acts—shall be granted to Herbert Evelyn Curtis and Oswald Curtis, of Nelson aforesaid, merchants, in exchange for the town acre numbered nine hundred and forty-six (946) on the plan of the said City of Nelson, and in consideration of the sum of fifty-fire (55) pounds paid and to be paid by them for equality of exchange.
