Sir,

I have the honour by the direction of the Lieutenant-Governor to inform you that His Excellency the Governor-in-Chief has expressed his approval of the assurance conveyed to you in the Lieutenant-Governor's letter of the 25th October last, to the effect that the Native reserves of Nelson should be subject to the same conditions as the sections of settlers, with reference to the arrangements contemplated for the reduction and concentration of that township.
