[The Dunedin Globe]

The Dunedin Globe, the sham labor-organ, is an Ishmaelite among journals. Mr S. N. Brown, the printer of the late Herald, has lately been the subject of its attacks, having been accused of slandering the Globe. To which he sharply retorts: « As to the present position of the Globe, or the composition of the company, I know nothing beyond what is public property; namely, that in the Mercantile Gazette of September 9th, 1890, the Evening Herald plant and premises passed to Mr Kitchen from the National Bank in consideration of the payment of £5 16s 5d per month. What other phase (if any) the matter has assumed since I neither know nor have cared to inquire. »
