Lindauer made many portraits of Maoris and otherpage 50eminent New Zealanders including Sir Walter Buller. He showed a collection of Maori pictures at the Indian and Colonial Exhibition, one of which was selected by Edward VII, then Prince of Wales. Lindauer died in 1926.
