Foundation of White Sauce

Foundation of White Sauce.

Flour, 1 oz.; butter, 1 oz.; milk, 1/2 pint; salt and pepper to taste.

Method. —Melt the butter, stir in the flour, remove from stove and add liquid gràdually. Cook for ten minutes, stirring all the time.
