Heating of Railway Carriages.

“I am pleased at the facilities for heating which are provided on the New Zealand Railways,” stated Mr. T. C. Davis, manager of the Australian Rugby team, on arrival in Christchurch from Invercargill recently (says the Christchurch Times), “We felt warm all the journey, and had only to manipulate a handle to control the amount of heat. We have foot-warmers in the carriages in Australia, but they soon get cold.”
