Reduction Of Services

Reduction Of Services.

It has been found necessary, in order to reduce our operating costs, to restrict, to some extent, the train service that we have been providing in certain areas. Naturally, the users of such services are somewhat disturbed by these restrictions and some may feel resentful. In every case where such alterations have been made, however, the change has been brought about because a careful financial analysis of the services indicated that a saving could be effected by the action taken. I shall be glad of the assistance of the staff generally in explaining this to the public, and would appreciate any direct advice or other help members can give to travellers or traders which will enable them to make the best use of the services we have offering.
