Life in the slums is quite dreadful.
Unless there are 7 or 8 sleeping in a bed together they don't reckon they have a bedful.

As for the people who are just lousy with money,
They each have a bed but sometimes they don't
sleep in them, which when you come to think
about it is distinctly funny.
