Mr. Charles Bourke. Headmaster of the West Eyreton Public School, attended the training college, Christchurch; and had been stationed as a teacher at Lismore for eighteen months, at Weedons for four years, and at Ashburton and at Mayfield for five years respectively, before taking up his duties at West Eyreton, in January, 1900.
