Mr. Gustav Von Der Heyde, an Old Colonist, and at one time connected with the firm of Messrs Henderson and Macfarlane, was a member of the City Council from 1875 to 1877. He was at one time Consul for Germany, and married a daughter of Mr. Henderson.
