Mr. Harold Beauchamp, J.P., was elected as one of the members of the Harbour Board, representing the rate payers of the City, in 1895, vice the late Mr. James Petherick, and holds office till February, 1896, when a biennial election takes place Mr. Beauchamp is referred to under the heading “Wellington Merchants” as senior partner of the firm of W. M. Bannatyne and Co.
