At the annual general meeting of the Society, held on March 22, 1962, the following officers were elected:
Following the general business of the meeting, Mr. F. Kinsky of the Dominion Museum gave an interesting illustrated lecture on the banding of birds in New Zealand.
The 1962 activities of the Society to date include a combined lecture with the V.U.W. Geological Society on ‘Biogeography — a geologist's approach’ by Dr. C. A. Fleming of Geological Survey, and trips to the Opossum Research Station in the Orongorongo Valley, Palliser Bay, and Mitre Flats in the Tararuas.
