Times” (11/12/1907) states:—“The Library was inaugurated by Alfred Domett Esq., statesman and poet. in 1862. The first Parliament met on May 27th, 1854.” Many willing workers assisted to save the valuables contained in the buildings. Refreshments were provided at the hotel opposite
