Undoubtedly One of the most famous cellists of our time and an artist whose international reputation is long established, is the French master cellist Pierre Fournier (above), who makes his first New Zealand tour under NZBC direction early in June. An intensive tour, as is now normal for him, will bring him to Wellington three times for a recital in the Concert Chamber on July 1 and two performances as NZBC Symphony soloist on June 17 and 24
