The Vice-Chairman of the New Zealand Committee for the Australia-New Zealand Congress for International Co-operation and Disarmament (Dean Chandler) has issued the following statement.

A Congress for International Co-operation and Disarmament is to be held in Melbourne from November 7 to 14, 1959.

The aims of the Congress are:
(a) To achieve the widest possible participation of the Australian and New Zealand people in discussion around the subjects of International Co-operation and Disarmament.
(b) To make the strongest possible impact upon the communities of the two countries with a view to achieving national policies directed to international cooperation and disarmament.
We therefore ask that you consider supporting the Melbourne Congress and respectfully suggest that you may consider:
(1) Giving your official endorsement.
(2) Hearing a speaker from our Committee.
(3) Electing a delegate or observer to the Congress.
(4) Making a donation to our Congress Fund.
(5) Sending a delegate or observer to our next Committee meeting.
