No. 194.—Petition of Taare te Ura.

Petitioner objects to the finding of the Native Appellate Court in regard to Kekerione 1 G Block, Chatham Islands, and prays that the laws relating to alienation may be amended, and that he be granted a rehearing of his claims to the lands above mentioned.

I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, this petition should be referred to the Government, with the recommendation that power be granted, by legislation, to refer the case to the Supreme Court.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga me te whai kupu atu me hanga he ture hei hoatu mana kia ahei ai te tuku atu o tenei keehi ki te Hupirimi Kooti.
