My Dear Godley,
—Tired with some hard work for me, I yet write a line to say that it will never be in my power to go to town for any good purpose. When I get there, not being used to it, the strange bustle and noise upset me, and I am good for nothing. But you will see me at work in Spectator. Go ahead! I only wish I could participate. Pray say this to Mr. Adderley.
