Out-patients

Large numbers of out-patients from the base camps continued to be referred to Helwan hospital for consultation, especially the eye, page 486 ear, nose and throat, and orthopaedic cases. There was some criticism that this was overdone, but it did enable prompt decisions to be made as to treatment and any necessary grading, especially when the Division was at Base.
