It is with much gratitude that the expedition acknowledges the assistance given by the many individuals and bodies - too numerous to mention by name - who made the venture possible. Special thanks are due to the following:

Professor R.H. Clark, Geology Department, Victoria University of Wellington, for his whole-hearted support and encouragement at all times.

The U.S. authorities who so willingly undertook the all-important task of transporting the expedition, and in particular Rear-Admiral D. Tyree for granting this assistance; Cmdr. Bertaglio, Commanding-Officer, U.S. Air Facility, McMurdo Sound; Capt. Mansen and members of VX - 6 squadron; and Mr. G.
