The Commissionaire.

The first motion before the meeting was that the Professorial Board be asked to dispense with the services of the Comissionaire at dances. The mover, Mr. D. R. Currie, made some caustic remarks about the non-attendance of Professors at College dances. Miss N. McLaren considered the Prof. Board was doing the Exec. a good turn in relieving it of responsibility for conduct at dances. Mr. McGhie produced an amazing newspaper cutting about drink at dances; we are not quite sure which side he was on. The motion was carried with an amendment that if the Board refused the request, it should be asked to appoint some suitable member of the staff in place of theh Commissionaire.
